Dear Homeowner,

I'm writing about your planned rear extension on Example Gardens. Congratulations on getting your plans in.

You may still be waiting for a decision, and that is fine. When you start looking for a builder, I would be glad to come round, look at your plans and give you a written quote. It is free, and you do not have to go ahead.

I'm also happy to answer questions, even if you are not ready for a quote yet.

My leaflet is on the back of this letter, so you can see the kind of work I do.

If you would like a chat, call me on 07700 900000. You can also see my work at yourbusiness.co.uk.

This is the only letter I will send. If you would rather not hear from me, just ignore it and I will not write again.

Kind regards,

Here you pay £2 for each letter you send.

Common questions

What if nobody rings?

Most letters get no reply.

About 1 in 100 people reply to a letter from a business they do not know (industry figures from JICMAIL, 2023 to 2025).

So 100 letters, £200, might bring 1 call.

One extension job could pay for that many times over.

They ring you, not us. Your number is on the letter.

We cannot promise work.

If we cannot post a letter, we refund it.

Is this allowed?

Yes. Planning applications are public.

Anyone can see them on the council website.

We do not use names. Each letter goes to “The Homeowner”.

You can write to each home once in 12 months.

Every letter tells them how to stop more letters.

What if I do not have a leaflet?

Send the letter on its own.

It still costs £2.

Have a leaflet? We print it on the back.

Ask whoever printed your leaflets for the PDF.

How does it work?

Stannp, a print and post firm, prints your letter and posts it second class.

It lands 2 to 3 working days after we post.

How do I start?

Tap your boroughs above, then Show jobs.

Tap Start now and type your email. We email you a code.

Tick the jobs you want and pay by card.

Where do the jobs come from?

From the councils' public planning registers.

Anyone can read them.

We check them every night for new jobs.

Can I change the letter?

Yes. Pick 1 of 3 letters, or write your own.

Each letter names their job, like “your planned loft conversion”.

Your business name and number are on it.

How fast does it arrive?

We post it 2 working days after you order.

It goes second class.

It lands 2 to 3 working days after that.

How do I pay?

By card.

You pay when you order.

If we cannot post a letter, we refund it.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel free until 5pm the working day before we post.

You get all your money back.

After that, it goes to print.
